Church Newsletter For December 1, 1997

But the angel said to them "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Luke 2:10-12

Holiday Greetings from one who loves you!

My dear friends, as we enter into this holiday season, the time when we celebrate most the birth of our Dear Savior, let us remember the true reason for this holiday. So often we get caught up in the secular celebrations we forget that this should be a time of joy and happiness. I pray each of you will focus on the greatest Gift of all, the Gift God made to each of us, the Gift of His Son, born to humble parents, into a cruel world, to die on the cross for us, that we may spend eternity in His presence. Amen!

Now, more than ever, the world needs Christians eager and anxious to spread the Good News, that Jesus is Lord! The holiday season brings many opportunities for spreading the Good News, opportunities we should all be ready to seize and take advantage of. Why not become an ordained minister of our church TODAY? It's free, and I just know it will bring you great joy to serve Our Lord in this way. It always brings me a great deal of joy when one of our members answers the call of Our Lord into His Ministry. Won't you let me share this joy with you? Make a real difference this year - share the gift of Our Lord's Salvation!

Church News

Our church continues to grow very rapidly, praise God! We are now up to 148 members! We have two months left before we celebrate our first anniversary as a church, and I sincerely expect us to reach 200 in membership by then.

The creativity of our membership continues to amaze me. Thanks to your efforts, we now have additional graphics which members can add to their own websites to let visitors know that they are part of our exciting fellowship. Please feel free to add these graphics to your websites. You can either "grab" them from here, or link to them using the codes under them, or get them also from the church Webstuff page.

The International Alliance Of Web-Based Churches also has a new graphic, which can serve as a graphic link to the Alliance homepage. Here it is:

Special Thanks to Rev. Greg Moore for his work creating and donating these graphics to our church!

Finally, I'd like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who has been moved to make gifts in support of this ministry. Your support is what is keeping this ministry going. God bless you for helping your church and your pastor in this way. Thank You!

Well, my dear friends, that is going to do it for this edition of the newsletter. Remember, spread some true Christmas joy this season. I know you can make a difference in many lives if you just try. God bless you.

Yours in Christ,
Brother Dave
