Sometimes there's nothing I enjoy more than just sitting down and reading large sections of the Bible. I've found the New Living Translation Deluxe Text Bible to be the absolute best for this.
This is also the Bible I teach out of when
preaching in our "brick and mortar" church. Especially useful for
reading aloud in church, which is how Jesus taught in the temple. and it's been very useful to me, not only when preparing a sermon or doing research, but also to quickly look up a verse that I already know a part of. Unlike a traditional concordance, that uses the individual-word format to help Bible students find familiar passages of Scripture, this reference book uses Bible phrases as the reference key. This immediately narrows down the search to show only those passages that contain a particular phrase, whereas a concordance would list every
occurrence of every word in the phrase. Might not sound like a big difference, but it makes searching for and finding a phrase a much quicker process. This book is extremely useful to have on hand during Bible discussions and when evangelizing Christ, as it makes locating the scripture you're looking for quicker, so you have your answer quicker.
